Centre Cook Job Opportunity

About the Role:

  • The Centre Cook is responsible for preparing delicious meals and snacks for children with diverse dietary needs and allergies, ensuring high standards of food safety.
  • This role requires planning menus and ordering food supplies in consultation with the Centre Director, utilizing creativity and organizational skills.
  • The successful candidate will work a part-time roster of 30 hours per week across 5 weekdays.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Promote healthy eating habits among children by serving nutritious meals and snacks.
  • Develop and maintain menus that cater to diverse dietary requirements.
  • Ensure proper storage, handling, and preparation of food and drinks to maintain high standards of food safety.

Requirements:

  • Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent experience in cooking within a childcare setting.
  • A current Victorian Working with Children Check is mandatory.
