Medical Laboratory Manager

The Respiratory-Sleep Service seeks a highly skilled and experienced Scientist/Manager to oversee the management of medical diagnostic respiratory/sleep laboratories.
This role will be responsible for performing, reviewing, and reporting of respiratory function and home-based sleep study tests with high levels of accuracy.
The successful candidate will have strong patient relations focus, excellent communication skills, and sound knowledge of relevant scientific laboratory management capabilities.
Key Responsibilities & Tasks:
- Manage and operate complex laboratory equipment in accordance with manufacturer recommendations and scientific standards
- Maintain accurate records and reports on testing results and procedures
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure effective delivery of services
Standards and Expectations:
- Conduct duties in accordance with Respiratory & Sleep Service protocols and guidelines
- Conduct duties with integrity, respect, and professionalism when interacting with patients, healthcare professionals, and colleagues
Skill Requirements and Qualifications:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in IT systems and software relevant to laboratory operations
- Minimum 4 years of experience in respiratory function and home-based sleep study testing
