The successful candidate will oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of airport services, ensuring a high standard of service to passengers. They will be responsible for supervising flight-handling activities such as flight editing, check-in, transfers and boarding.
Key Responsibilities:- Day-to-day operational management of airport services.
- Liaise with airport service providers and users.
- Provide input and recommendations to management to improve daily operations.
- Ensure passenger and aircraft handling practices conform to safety and security standards.
- Manage and control manpower on the shift to optimize utilization and maintain staff morale and discipline.
- Conduct spot-checks to ensure adequate standards are maintained.
- Resolve customer problems and complaints effectively by liaising with all departments.
- Conduct briefing sessions for shift and GHA supervisors.
- Compile detailed station handling reports for Airport Duty Manager.
- Bachelor's Degree.
- Four years' relevant experience.
- Supervisory experience in an airline or reputable ground handling agency.
- Excellent English language communication skills.
- Weight and Balance, Ramp handling, Dangerous Goods Regulation knowledge.
- Able to perform duties under pressure while maintaining high levels of customer service standards.
- Flexibility to take up duty travel to outstations for covering various assignments.
- High level computer literacy.
- Good understanding of aviation safety and security procedures.
- Should have legal rights to live and work in Australia.
