Job Role Overview

The Department of Communities and Justice is seeking an Aboriginal Enquiry Officer to work in the Housing Contact Centre. This role offers a unique opportunity to make a tangible difference in the lives of Aboriginal communities.

As an Aboriginal Enquiry Officer, you will have the chance to:

  • Provide an Aboriginal perspective on client issues and inquiries
  • Advocate on behalf of Aboriginal people in your community
  • Build strong relationships with partner agencies to support and strengthen families and cultural connections
  • Use cultural knowledge to inform and shape service delivery

This position involves leading the Aboriginal client issue and inquiry resolution process, monitoring the AEL service, and providing advice and referrals to assist Aboriginal clients with complex support and housing needs.

This is an ongoing full-time role located in Bega, with a salary range of $87,493 pa - $96,540 pa, plus employer's contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading.
