About the Role


Council is seeking a dedicated and driven Spray Operator to join our team. As a key member of our Open Space Maintenance team, you will be responsible for completing daily operational tasks including weed control, litter collection, and cleaning duties.



Key Responsibilities




  • Operate and maintain plant and equipment including brush cutters, blowers, and other related plant as required.
  • Assist in the control of weeds throughout Council's Local Government Area.
  • Collect litter and clean sites as required.
  • Assist the Coordinator and Team Leader to ensure open space areas are maintained in accordance with service requirements and service agreements.
  • Complete risk and hazard assessments of all areas under the position holder's control and take corrective action where necessary.
  • Undertake emergency response requests as required.


Requirements




  • Current C Class drivers' licence.
  • Previous experience in cleansing and open space maintenance.
  • Chemical Users Accreditation Certificate or equivalent is desirable but not essential.
  • Class HR/MR licence and traffic control tickets are desirable but not essential.
