The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the Director of Nursing in planning, organizing, directing, and managing resources to achieve the vision and objectives of Thompson Health Care.

Main Responsibilities
  • Ensure the provision of high-quality care for all residents, enhancing their quality of life.
  • Assist the Director of Nursing in managing the nursing home within budgetary constraints, without compromising resident care.
  • Provide leadership that is creative, supportive, and promotes trust and warmth, encouraging teamwork among staff.
  • Promote the nursing home and the aged care industry to the wider community through participation in industry and educational forums, as directed by the Director of Nursing and Executive Committee.
  • Encourage and participate in quality activities to prepare for and maintain accreditation standards, ensuring continual improvement in care and services provided.
Requirements
  • Current registration and license to practice as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in an aged care management position.
  • Demonstrated leadership ability, with experience as a Deputy Director of Nursing highly preferred.
  • Able to provide direction and motivate a multi-disciplinary team, with a passion to deliver exceptional care and service to the elderly.
  • Ability to ensure that all clinical staff are compliant with the code of ethics and legal requirements.
