Key Responsibilities- Identify and Mitigate Risks: Conduct regular site visits to identify potential hazards and develop strategies to mitigate risks.
- Develop and Implement Safety Plans: Collaborate with our project teams to develop and implement safety plans, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards.
- Liaise with Contractors: Work closely with contractors to ensure they are aware of and adhere to our safety policies and procedures.
- Investigate Incidents: Conduct thorough investigations into incidents, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence.
- Develop and Maintain Safety Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date safety documentation, including risk assessments, safety plans, and incident reports.
- Qualifications: A minimum of a Certificate IV in Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) or equivalent.
- Experience: A minimum of 4 years' experience in a health and safety role, preferably in the construction, engineering, or events industry.
- Skills: Proven ability to influence, coach, and engage with stakeholders, as well as strong leadership and communication skills.
