Avionics Engineer Role

This position offers a unique opportunity to support the development of avionics/electrical modifications to aircraft through design, certification and other technical support processes.

About the Job
  • Development, review and approval of various aircraft avionics/electrical system modifications.
  • Holding and exercising engineering authority as a design engineer under NGA's military design organisation exposition.
  • Applying systems engineering processes across the product lifecycle.
  • Coordinating and supporting project management tasks through design development and installation phases.
  • Providing advice to internal/external stakeholders and representing the enterprise on specific projects, technical issues and meetings.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical oversight and reviewing work of other engineers for accuracy, adequacy and quality. They will also investigate, report and communicate engineering compliance issues.

Key Requirements
  • Relevant engineering degree in avionics, electrical or mechatronics.
  • Eligible for registration with RPEQ.
  • Demonstrated experience as a professional engineer in the defence/aviation industry.
  • Working knowledge of configuration management and certification concepts.
