Job Overview

This is a challenging opportunity for an experienced civil construction professional to join our team in Bunbury and contribute to the delivery of bridge construction and maintenance works.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in quality assurance, budgeting, project management, and contract administration.

Responsibilities include:

  • Implementation of quality assurance procedures, manuals, and checklists to ensure adherence to industry standards
  • Preparation and monitoring of project costs to ensure timely completion within budget
  • Preparation, updating, and managing works projects to meet client expectations
  • Identify and advise on all contractual and commercial claims related to works
  • Oversee quality assurance and safety on-site and directly manage small to medium civil construction projects
  • Manage internal/external crews to ensure works delivery is on time and to budget

The successful candidate will possess excellent organisational skills, demonstrated ability to work within tight deadlines, effective communication skills, and a practical hands-on approach.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you will need:

  • A bachelor's degree in engineering (Civil) or equivalent tertiary qualification
  • Demonstrated experience in bridge and/or road construction
  • Availability to work away from home when required
  • Excellent organisational skills with demonstrated ability to work within tight deadlines
  • Effective communication skills and a practical hands-on approach
  • Commitment to maintaining a safe workplace
  • Valid drivers' licence and ability to travel state-wide as per project scope of works
