About the Role

Clyde & Co is seeking an ambitious and highly motivated law graduate to join their practice led by Partner David Lee. This is a rare opportunity to work directly with the Partner and senior lawyers on large-scale, high-value, multi-party, and/or multi-jurisdiction litigation. The successful candidate will handle the defence of complex public liability claims relating to personal injury and property damage.

Key Responsibilities

  • Attend client meetings and teleconferences
  • Contribute to matter planning meetings
  • Prepare file notes, memorandums, and summaries of internal discussions and meetings with clients, legal counsel, or relevant third parties
  • Assist with the preparation and maintenance of client files
  • Draft, analyse, and interpret legal documents
  • Draft correspondence and emails to clients and other parties as directed
  • Draft court documents and file them
  • Assist with drafting witness statements and proposed affidavits in preparation for court proceedings
  • Undertake research and prepare summary memorandums
  • Liaise with and provide support to barristers
  • Keep updated with legal developments within your practice area
  • Contribute to internal current awareness and learning and development education sessions
  • Assist with business development activities

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have a strong academic record and excellent communication skills. You should be able to demonstrate a high level of technical expertise and a willingness to learn and develop your skills.
