We are seeking a seasoned Financial Operations Manager to join our Head Office Team in Melbourne. Reporting to the General Manager Australia, you will oversee Dolce & Gabbana Australia's financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes while ensuring robust financial reporting and compliance with HQ Italy requirements and standards.
The successful candidate will manage cash flow, drive cost control initiatives, and implement process improvements across Australian operations. By partnering with cross-functional teams, you will provide actionable insights that support strategic business decisions.
Key Role Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes for D&G Australia in consultation with HQ.
- Analyse financial performance, providing insights and recommendations to the leadership team.
- Support strategic decision-making through financial data.
- Oversee month end, quarterly, and annual financial closing processes.
- Ensure compliance with local and HQ reporting standards and requirements.
- Consolidate financial results into the HQ financial system in Italy.
- Responsible for budget, forecasting and actual result reporting.
- Coordinate with external auditors and regulatory bodies for financial reporting.
- Oversee the Payroll function together with Human Resources.
- Partner with internal departments – e.g. retail operations, merchandising, marketing, and logistics teams - to drive growth and profitability.
- Manage payment of mandatory taxes across business operations.
- Enhance use and accuracy when using internal financial systems, controls, and reporting tools.
- Seek opportunities for process improvements for better efficiency.
- Liaise with internal stakeholders at all levels in the organisation.
- Prepare any other financial reports as requested from time to time.
- Lead and develop a high-performing finance team.
