About the Role

InfraBuild, a leading integrated steel manufacturer and distributor in Australia, is seeking a dynamic and skilled individual to join their team as an Operator at the Mackay facility.

The successful candidate will be responsible for operating manual benders, shearlines, and off coils to shape, cut, and process bar, as well as inputting job tags on machines to produce steel products. Additionally, they will operate a forklift and overhead gantry crane to pick, pack, load, and unload trucks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate manual benders, shearlines, and off coils to shape, cut, and process bar
  • Input job tags on machines to produce steel products
  • Operate a forklift and overhead gantry crane to pick, pack, load, and unload trucks
Requirements and Qualifications
  • A positive, can-do attitude and a strong desire to learn new skills
  • A natural ability to think on their feet and solve problems
  • A commitment to safety and a willingness to promote a safe workplace
  • Experience in operating machinery, particularly manual benders and shearlines, is highly desirable
  • Forklift and overhead gantry crane operation experience is also an advantage
