Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Chef to join our culinary team. As a Chef, you will be responsible for creating innovative and delicious meals for our patients and staff. You will work closely with our Head Chef to train kitchen staff, manage food costs, and maintain high standards of hygiene and safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement new menu ideas and recipes
  • Train and supervise kitchen staff to ensure high-quality food preparation
  • Manage food costs and inventory to optimize efficiency
  • Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment
  • Lead the kitchen team in the absence of the Head Chef
  • Work a rotational roster, including weekends and public holidays
Requirements
  • Appropriate chef qualifications and experience
  • Proven understanding of food safety and hygiene practices
  • Experience in large-volume cookery and cold larder production
  • Good working knowledge of HACCP regulations and Food Standards Australia & New Zealand
  • Food Handling Certificate
  • Available for shifts over a 7-day roster, including weekends
