About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Trainee Carer in our Tugun Care Home. As a Trainee Carer, you will have the opportunity to undertake a Carer Traineeship, which includes formal training and on-the-job supports, leading to a qualification outcome in Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing).

Our Carer Traineeship program is designed to provide you with the skills and knowledge required to deliver high-quality care to our residents. You will work closely with our experienced care team to develop your skills and confidence in a supportive and inclusive environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide person-centered care to residents, including assistance with daily living activities, personal care, and mobility
  • Assist with meal preparation, serving, and cleaning up after meals
  • Participate in resident activities and programs, such as exercise classes, games, and outings
  • Contribute to a safe and healthy environment by following infection control procedures and reporting any concerns or incidents
  • Work collaboratively with the care team to achieve resident-centered goals and outcomes
