We are seeking a skilled Casual Food & Beverage Attendant to join our dynamic team at YHA Australia. As a key member of our hospitality crew, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional guest experiences.

Estimated salary for this role is AU$25-30 per hour based on Sydney location and industry standards.

About the Role

The Casual Food & Beverage Attendant is responsible for ensuring seamless service delivery in our cafe by assisting with food preparation, serving drinks, operating a point-of-sale terminal, and maintaining a clean and safe environment.

This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting. Previous experience as a barista or in a similar role is highly desirable.

You will be part of a close-knit team that values collaboration, inclusivity, and creativity. We strive to create a work environment that is supportive, stimulating, and fun.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and serve food and beverages, including taking orders and operating a point-of-sale system.
  • Clean and maintain the cafe area, equipment, and facilities to ensure high standards of hygiene and safety.
  • Refill drink fridges, snack areas, and other supplies as needed.
  • Support the cafe team in achieving excellent customer service standards.
Requirements
  • Demonstrated experience in a similar role, preferably in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multitask and work effectively under pressure.
  • Responsible Service of Alcohol Certification (RSA) or willingness to obtain.
  • Flexible availability, including weekends and public holidays.
