Meaningful Visits Volunteer

We're seeking a compassionate volunteer to visit an elderly lady who's feeling lonely. Your time and company could make a world of difference.

Regular visits from volunteers can help improve quality of life and reduce feelings of isolation. You'll have the opportunity to bring joy to the client you're matched with.

This role is perfect for someone who enjoys a good chat and values building meaningful relationships. As a social visitor, you'll play a vital role in enhancing the lives of older people in their community.

Requirements:

  • 18 years or older
  • Volunteering experience preferred but not necessary
  • Reliability and flexibility

We'd be happy to discuss a suitable time during the week for a one hour visit between 9am and 4pm Monday to Sunday. Visits can be weekly to fortnightly depending on your availability.

About the Role:

As a Social Visits Volunteer, you'll have the opportunity to:

  • Visit clients in their homes or at local facilities
  • Engage in conversation, share stories, and build relationships
  • Provide companionship and emotional support
