Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Refrigeration Specialist to join our team. This role is critical in ensuring the integrity of our cold storage facilities and the safe transportation of perishable goods.

The ideal candidate will have a trade certificate in refrigeration mechanics and prior experience working with ammonia. Key responsibilities include performing preventative maintenance tasks, diagnosing faults, and undertaking repairs or component replacements as required.

About the Role:

  • Performing routine maintenance checks on refrigeration equipment
  • Identifying and reporting any faults or issues that may affect the operation of our facilities
  • Coordinating with external contractors to ensure maintenance and repair work is carried out efficiently
  • Managing inventory levels and ordering replacement parts as needed
  • Collaborating with colleagues to achieve operational excellence

About You:

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • A trade certificate in refrigeration mechanics
  • Prior experience working with ammonia and other refrigerants
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Familiarity with MEX software system for maintenance scheduling and documentation
