Database Administrator (DBA)

Infinite Consulting is in search of a skilled Database Administrator (DBA) to support our prestigious Federal Government Client. This role offers a long-term contract with an initial term of 12 months and the possibility of 2 x 6 months extensions, contingent upon funding and approvals.

Role Responsibilities:

As a Database Administrator, you will be instrumental in managing and optimizing the Client's database infrastructure, which includes both on-premises and cloud-based environments.

Your contributions will be vital in ensuring that all DBA project objectives are achieved, and you will collaborate across various work packages, addressing both project-specific and routine operational tasks.

Key Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in administering SQL Server, including legacy versions up to the latest in Azure.
  • Proficiency in TSQL and PowerShell scripting.
  • Experience with high availability clusters in on-premises settings.
  • Background in decommissioning outdated SQL Server 2012 systems.
  • Expertise in migrating databases across different SQL Server versions.
  • Familiarity with Commvault for backup and restoration processes.
  • Experience with SAS Grid or SAS Viya is a plus but not mandatory.
