St Munchin's Catholic School is seeking a passionate and dynamic Teacher (Middle / Upper Primary) to join our vibrant team. As a co-educational double-stream Catholic school, we cater for over 440 learners and their families from Three-Year-Old Kindy to Year Six.
We aspire to enact our School Vision and Vision for Learning, underpinned by Gospel Values that encourage students to strive to do their best in all aspects of school life. Our education program offers students opportunities to develop their gifts and talents and reach their full potential.
The successful applicant will be expected to live out their faith in their daily lives, demonstrate excellence in teaching as a priority, and be passionate about student learning and development. Key selection criteria include:
- An understanding of and commitment to the ethos of Catholic Education.
- A team player with a willingness to develop positive, professional relationships in their community.
- Knowledge of the West Australian Curriculum with the ability to design content for effective teaching and differentiated learning in a Middle / Upper Classroom.
- Evidence of data-informed teaching practice through the application of continuous monitoring strategies of achievement.
- A passion for 21st century learning, incorporating explicit teaching, flexible learning, and inquiry-based learning.
- A willingness to initiate and/or support whole school improvement practices and extra-curricular activities.
- A professional who values the importance of teaching Social and Emotional Wellbeing to enhance and support the wellbeing of our students.
- Excellent classroom management and organisational skills that create a supportive and safe learning environment for all students.
- A team-oriented, positive, professional, cooperative, and collaborative educator who values and strives for continual professional growth and values feedback.
- A lifelong learner with a high level of professionalism, understanding of confidentiality, empathy, and positive interpersonal skills.
Qualifications required include a relevant 4-year tertiary qualification and accreditation to teach Religious Education (or working towards).
