Senior Network Security Architect

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Network Security Engineer to join our local Network Services team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for maintaining high levels of security and network infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities- Design, implement, and maintain network/security solutions, such as firewalls, SD-WAN, VPN, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
- Monitor network security systems for potential threats and vulnerabilities.
- Develop and implement security policies, procedures, and standards where needed.
- Conduct regular security audits and risk assessments.
- Act as an escalation point for high priority/complex security incidents.
- Respond to security incidents and breaches.
- Keep up to date with the latest security trends and threats.
- 5+ years in a security network environment, with experience designing and implementing firewalls, load-balancers, SD-WAN, and routers.
- Expert understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, QOS, BGP, OSPF, MPLS).
- Familiar with security standards like ISO 27000, NIST, and Essential 8.
- Experience with security tools (IDS/IPS, SIEM) and scripting (Python, Ansible) for automation.
- Extensive documentation skills and ability to produce quality artifacts (High/Low level designs, diagrams, as-build, handover).
- Strong communication skills and ability to build effective relationships.
- Mentoring skills to empower and help grow the team's local knowledge and expertise.
- ITIL process knowledge (Asset/Change/Incident management).
