Early Learning Professional Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced individual to fill the role of Assistant Director at our centre. This position offers a unique chance to work in a dynamic environment, inspiring and motivating team members while driving continuous improvement across all aspects of centre operations.

About the Role
  • Leadership and Management: Collaborate with the Centre Director to lead the team in delivering high-quality early learning and care, mentoring and developing capabilities within the centre team, and managing the centre in the absence of the Centre Director.
  • Practice Implementation: Utilize the Goodstart Practice Guide to support educators and staff in delivering high-quality educational programs.
  • Community Engagement: Engage with the local community through events and programs, fostering strong relationships and promoting the centre's services.
  • Floating Support: Provide support to educators and staff as needed, assisting with planning and documentation (2 hours weekly), and supervising staff to promote a positive and supportive work culture.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: Bachelor or Diploma in Early Childhood (or ACECQA approved equivalent).
  • Knowledge: Strong knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework and National Quality Standards.
  • Certification: Current NSW Working with Children Check, active accreditation with NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA) for those who hold a Bachelor of Early Childhood (or ACECQA approved equivalent).
