Lead Special Education Unit

This is a temporary vacancy for an experienced educator to lead the special education unit at a prominent educational institution.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent leadership skills, with the ability to develop and implement strategies that enhance student learning outcomes. They will also have a strong understanding of legislative requirements impacting special education and be able to embed socially just practices in daily school life.
About the Role- Develop a shared educational vision focused on quality learning outcomes for all students.
- Educate staff on embedding socially just practices in their daily work.
- Set high standards for staff performance and support continuous professional development.
- Form partnerships with parents, other government agencies, and community groups to promote student success.
- Understand legislation and policies impacting schooling, especially for students with disability.
The successful candidate will be required to submit a maximum 2-page written response outlining their suitability for the role, referring to the key capabilities identified in the attached role description.
Requirements- A current employee within the state's educational sector.
