Job Profile:

Key Responsibilities and Expectations:

  • Clean floors by sweeping, mopping or vacuuming them.
  • Dispose of trash efficiently.
  • Maintain cleanliness of restrooms, including servicing, cleaning and supplying them.
  • Polish furniture and fixtures to maintain a clean environment.
  • Clean windows, glass partitions and mirrors using soapy water or other suitable cleaners.
  • Dust furniture, walls, machines and equipment regularly.
  • Perform minor repairs and adjustments to heating, cooling, plumbing and electrical systems as needed.
  • Prepare cleaning solutions by mixing water and detergents or acids in containers.
  • Steam-clean or shampoo carpets to maintain their appearance.
  • Strip, seal, finish and polish floors for optimal durability.
  • Restore building interiors damaged by fire, smoke or water to their original condition.
  • Clean laboratory equipment using solvents, brushes and power cleaning equipment.
  • Operate vehicles required for cleaning tasks or traveling to work sites.
  • Monitor building security and safety at all times.
  • Move heavy furniture, equipment and supplies with caution.
  • Maintain lawns and shrubbery by mowing and trimming them regularly.
  • Notify management about the need for major repairs or additions.
  • Request necessary supplies and equipment for cleaning duties.
