Accountant Role at Kogan

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Accountant to join our Finance team at Kogan, a leading e-commerce company in Australia. As an Accountant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our financial objectives and contributing to the company's growth and success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of monthly, half-year, and year-end management accounts and statutory accounts.
  • Financial Analysis: Proactively identify areas for improvement and implement changes to increase efficiency and productivity.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the Finance team and internal stakeholders to achieve business outcomes.
  • Banking and General Ledger Reconciliations: Prepare and review reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Monthly BAS Returns: Prepare and submit monthly BAS returns.
  • Financial Inquiries: Respond to financial inquiries by gathering and interpreting data.
  • Accounts Receivable: Manage accounts receivable, including working with customers on outstanding balances.

Requirements:

  • Qualifications: University degree in a relevant field (Finance, Accounting, Business, or similar) and either completing or having completed CA/CPA qualification.
  • Experience: Demonstrated experience working within Finance/Accounting, preferably in a Retail/e-commerce/FMCG environment. Experience within an ASX-listed business will be highly regarded.
  • Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other IT and cloud-based tools.
