Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our team as a Nursing Care Professional. In this role, you will be responsible for providing high levels of clinical care to our Elders, ensuring their physical health is maintained at the highest possible level.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Ensuring that Elders' physical health is maintained through ongoing assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation, and documentation.
  • Providing leadership in accordance with the Eden philosophy of care, promoting person-centred approaches and collaborative teamwork.
  • Managing and directing care in day-to-day activities, adhering to Health and Safety legislation, policy, and procedures.
  • Coordinating with families to ensure they are informed about their relative's care and working collaboratively to achieve the best outcomes.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A current practicing certificate with the AHPRA (Australian Health Practitioner Registration Agency).
  • Postgraduate evidence of formal education.
  • Demonstrated ongoing education and personal development.
  • An ability to work with persons living with dementia, experience in pain management, palliative care, and mentoring staff.
  • The ability to maintain clinical requirements by checking charts, care plans, and working in a culturally sensitive manner within an ethno-specific environment.
