Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nurse Unit Manager to lead our Emergency Department team at a busy private hospital in Victoria. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for managing a large team of over 60 staff and providing exceptional patient care in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a team of nurses and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient care
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve patient outcomes and staff satisfaction
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless patient flow and care
- Monitor and report on patient safety and quality metrics
- Provide leadership and guidance to staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to provide excellent patient care
Requirements
- Tertiary qualifications in Nursing, postgraduate in Emergency Nursing held for at least the past 2 years and current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA
- Demonstrated core competency skills in managing a large team and the stresses of a busy emergency department
- Understanding and knowledge of nursing legislations including standards and practices that affect delivery of nursing services
- Minimum of 5 years experience working in an emergency department environment
