Healthcare Support Assistant

About the Role:

We are seeking a reliable and compassionate Healthcare Support Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our allied health services, you will work closely with physiotherapists and occupational therapists to deliver high-quality care to clients in residential aged care settings.

Your responsibilities will include assisting with clinical duties, administrative tasks, and supporting initiatives to meet client and contract expectations. You will also have the opportunity to participate in mentoring, supervision, and appraisals in line with our organisation's policy and procedure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with delivering physiotherapy services in accordance with operating procedures and policies
  • Servicing RAC clients as per treatment plans
  • Transporting residents to therapy sessions or appointments
  • Setting up and packing away therapy equipment and cleaning areas
  • Collecting referrals and administrative tasks as guided by physiotherapists
  • Ordering prescribed equipment
  • Running exercise groups and programs
  • Supporting initiatives to meet client and contract expectations
  • Consulting with physiotherapists on adaptations and changes to treatment plans
