Business Solutions Analyst

Hamilton Island Enterprises is seeking an experienced Business Solutions Analyst to join its IT team in Sydney.

Your Role

As a Business Solutions Analyst, you will act as the intermediary between end-users and IT to ensure that business/user requirements are delivered in IT solutions. Your activities will include project management and implementation of new systems, working with users and other Architects to define requirements, and developing functional specifications.

You will also:

  • Work with users and other Architects to define requirements and specify an optimum design
  • Meet with user groups to gather and analyse end-user requirements
  • Develop functional specifications that design and document desired outcomes
  • Recommend suitable software packages and analyse systems and data
  • Coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to ensure efficiency, functionality, and user friendliness
  • Prepare material and provide training and assistance to end-users following implementation

About You

You are a respectful, trustworthy, and safety-conscious individual who encourages smart and innovative business practices. You have advanced skills and considerable experience in evaluating equipment and software options, and a good understanding of the current hospitality IT systems environment.

You will have:

  • Advanced skills and considerable experience in evaluating equipment and software options
  • Good understanding of the current hospitality IT systems environment
  • Project planning and specification skills, together with problem-solving and analysis
  • 5 years of experience in software administration and implementation, with at least 3 years in systems specification and design, coupled with tertiary qualifications in computer science or a related discipline
  • Sound technical specification writing/documentation skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong customer service focus
  • Strong attention to detail
