We are seeking a highly skilled Risk Governance Manager to join our team at Insurance Australia Group Limited. Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain detailed knowledge of relevant regulations and industry frameworks.
- Lead the development of risk and controls, aligned with the framework, policy, and standard requirements.
- Monitor compliance across the enterprise, ensuring that policy settings are calibrated appropriately.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and mitigate risks associated with technology, data, and information security.
- Advocate for the simplification and modernization of policy development and implementation.
Requirements:
- A minimum of 8 years' experience in policy setting or similar roles, preferably in the financial services industry, including at least 3 years in leadership positions.
- In-depth knowledge of relevant technology, data, information security, and operational risk regulations.
- Strong understanding of technology, information security, and data risk coupled with a results-oriented mindset.
- Proven ability to communicate effectively and simplify complex topics for an executive audience.
- Exceptional written communication skills.
- Tertiary qualifications in a legal discipline or a relevant field (e.g., data, technology, or risk), with experience in a professional legal setting being highly desirable.
- Familiarity with or experience operating within a three lines of accountability (defence) risk model.
