Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop mobile banking platforms
  • Implement and manage application code and services for production and pre-release environments
  • Collaborate with international development teams to build mobile apps through Agile software development, prototyping, and code review
  • Develop consistent applications based on customer or business requirements
  • Maintain awareness of platform trends and upcoming critical changes
  • Monitor client feedback for potential issues and proactively schedule resolutions
  • Support delivery teams to achieve success through development using CI/CD and DevOps practices, processes, and tooling
  • Implement robust coding practices and solid unit and component test coverage, ensuring efficient code debugging
  • Lead and mentor junior developers to improve technical skills
Essential Requirements
  • A strong passion for mobile development
  • Substantial experience in Android development, including Kotlin and Java (6+ years)
  • Knowledge of architectural patterns such as Clean Architecture, MVVM, MVP, SMVP, MVC
  • Familiarity with open-source libraries like RxJava, Dagger 2, Coroutines, and Android Jetpack (LiveData, Data Binding)
  • Expertise in calling RESTful JSON services and integrating mobile apps with backend APIs
  • Detailed understanding of unit testing, UI testing (Espresso), and automated testing frameworks
  • A solid grasp of the banking and finance industry, trends, and threats (technology, products, regulatory environment)
  • Proven experience as a senior developer in Agile teams
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Experience with CI/CD software development pipelines
  • Experience working in Scrum and associated agile techniques
  • Proficiency with GIT for software version control
  • Multithreaded development and debugging expertise
  • Well-rounded experience across the full software delivery life cycle (planning, analysis, design, implementation, testing, deployment, and maintenance)
