We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Project Officer to join our team at State Library. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing key tasks, deliverables, and deadlines, as well as coordinating with other team members to achieve project objectives and general project management and reporting requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in the management of project tasks, deliverables, and deadlines, including coordination with other team members to achieve project objectives.
- Contribute to the delivery of high-quality project management, financial, procurement, and governance processes, including preparing and reviewing high-standard correspondence, briefing notes, submissions, project management reports, status updates, financial and procurement papers, and other ad-hoc activities as required.
- Communicate key information and updates to stakeholders as State Library prepares for and completes transition to new facilities, including building and maintaining strong relationships with key project stakeholders, such as project managers, program managers, client managers, clients, and other internal business units.
- Attend project team meetings, manage and provide project secretariat services, and report requirements for various steering committees and stakeholder arrangements within established project governance frameworks.
- Investigate, analyze, and evaluate information from diverse sources, including project documents, contracts, and legislative/regulatory requirements, and provide risk management advice to directors and project managers on project financial, budgetary, contractual, and procurement-related issues.
- Contribute to a positive and safe work environment by ensuring conduct that is culturally capable, inclusive, respectful, and ethical.
- Qualifications, licenses, and specific requirements of the role will be outlined in the attached role description.
- Applications will remain current for a period of up to 12 months and may be considered for other vacancies (identical or similar).
- Appointments are subject to criminal history checks in accordance with section 52 of the Public Sector Act 2022.
- Prior to appointment, current and previous public sector employees are required to disclose any history of serious disciplinary action in accordance with section 71 of the Public Sector Act 2022.
- All employees are required to disclose any interest/s that conflict, may conflict, or may be perceived to conflict with the discharge of their duties in accordance with section 182 of the Public Sector Act 2022.
