We are seeking a seasoned professional to spearhead the development and maintenance of our bushfire and network safety risk management strategies across multiple electricity networks.

This role requires strong collaboration with internal stakeholders and effective relationships with external agencies to ensure network safety commitments are achieved.

The successful candidate will possess:

  • Expertise in contemporary risk management principles.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to work effectively at all levels.
  • Excellent organisational and report writing skills.
  • Previous experience in the electricity industry.
  • Comprehensive understanding of electricity safety legislation.
  • Experience dealing with external regulatory authorities.

This position is crucial in ensuring our networks are ready to meet increasing demand. The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Developing and maintaining the Bushfire Risk Model to reflect best practice and accurately represent our risk profile.
  • Engaging with consultants and government agencies to scope, establish contracts, and project manage BRM improvement initiatives.
  • Facilitating bushfire mitigation and network safety risk minimisation assessments with cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Developing business cases for initiatives requiring material investment and advocating internally and externally.
  • Conducting network safety risk assessments and technical assessments to ensure consideration of network safety and bushfire risks.
