Workshop Operations Manager

A dynamic Workshop Operations Manager is required to oversee the smooth functioning of our maintenance operations at our Onslow Iron, Upper Cane site.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring strict compliance with safety procedures, managing the daily tasks of workshop staff, and leading a team that includes Heavy Diesel Mechanics, Auto Electricians, Boilermakers, and Trade Assistants.

The ideal candidate will possess a proven background in supervisory roles, experience in scheduling and coordinating warehouse logistics within a mining environment, and hold a relevant trade qualification in Mechanical or Electrical, recognised in Australia.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Effective labour management to ensure seamless day-to-day operations.
  • Strive to reduce equipment downtime by implementing cost-efficient asset maintenance practices.
  • Inspire and motivate your team to achieve peak productivity and performance.
  • Implement preventative maintenance initiatives to mitigate equipment breakdowns.
