We are seeking a dedicated Home Care Employee to join our team in the Armidale area.

Job Description

  • Personal Support: Provide assistance with daily tasks such as grooming, bathing, dressing and hygiene for clients' comfort, dignity and well-being.
  • Household Assistance: Offer support with cleaning, meal preparation and general household tasks to maintain a safe and tidy living environment.
  • Transportation: Drive clients to medical appointments, shopping and social activities ensuring they can access essential services and maintain their independence.
  • Social Engagement: Foster social interaction and provide companionship offering emotional support to improve clients' quality of life and overall well-being.

Essential Skills and Qualifications

  • Effective communication skills
  • An empathic and caring approach
  • Ability to work unsupervised and as part of a team
  • Access to a fully maintained and insured vehicle
  • Strong planning and organizational skills
  • Competency with smartphones/tablets or willingness to learn
  • Physical fitness for manual handling and extended periods of standing/sitting
