About the Role

Pizza Bar Strathmore is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chef to lead their kitchen team.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cooking techniques and ingredients, with a proven track record of managing kitchen staff and delegating tasks effectively.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set up workstations with required ingredients and equipment, ensuring a safe and efficient working environment.
  • Cook and heat a variety of vegetables, meats, and other foods to meet the demands of the restaurant.
  • Assist and support other team members in preparing food, maintaining high standards of quality and presentation.
  • Manage kitchen inventory, ordering ingredients and supplies as needed to avoid waste and ensure optimal stock levels.
  • Supervise kitchen staff, assigning tasks and responsibilities to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Prepare food by cutting, mixing, and chopping ingredients, following recipes and health and safety guidelines.
  • Collaborate with Restaurant Managers to create menus and drive business growth.
Requirements
  • At least 2 years of experience as a Chef, with a strong understanding of cooking techniques and ingredients.
  • Excellent time management and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple orders and priorities.
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire kitchen staff.

This is a permanent, full-time position with a competitive salary range of $73,000 - $85,000.
