**Job Opportunity:**

A chance to support people with intellectual and mental health disabilities in Ipswich, Camira, and surrounding areas.

We provide homelike, supportive accommodation in the community for individuals with an intellectual disability or mental health condition.

Our residents have low care needs and wish to live in long-term homelike accommodation that offers a sense of community. We provide access to 24-hour support, nutritious meals, and personal care services (medication administration assistance).

As a relief lifestyle support worker, you will work night shifts and sleepovers, assisting residents with their routines and providing general support.

You will also be responsible for developing a rapport with residents, working independently within a team, and anticipating and deescalating any minor conflicts.

The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, speak clear and fluent English, and be passionate about working with people living with a disability.

Mandatory Requirements:

  • Experience in supporting and working with individuals living with a disability
  • Disability Worker Screening Card - Yellow card
  • Great communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Experience in case note writing
  • Demonstrated knowledge and ability to use Microsoft software (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Accredited Medication Administration Assistance Certificate
  • Accredited Certificate in lifestyle support work/disabilities/human services or other relevant disciplines
  • Food Safety Certificate
  • First Aid + CPR Certificate
  • QLD Drivers license
  • Comply with Workers in a healthcare setting (COVID-19 Vaccination Requirements) - Fully vaccinated (Double vaccinated)
