Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Strategic Commercial Contracts Manager to join our team at CPB Contractors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage upstream Head Contract commercial and contractual requirements across two separate Melbourne Airport projects.
  • Focus on upstream change management for variations, provisional sums, and extensions of time.
  • Review and compile change and delay notices and quotations to the Client.
  • Maintain collaborative relationships with all key internal and external parties.
  • Manage issues including dispute avoidance and resolution as required.
  • Manage all formal correspondence to and from the Client and ensure all contractual obligations are met.
  • Maintain a live change register and filing of documents, evidence, and correspondence on an online server.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Law, Quantity Surveying, or Construction Management.
  • 10+ years of experience in commercial and contract administration gained on construction, engineering, or associated projects.
  • Construction experience on larger scale building and/or civil projects is essential.
  • Great technical construction knowledge and skills to assist in the formation of change management notices and quotations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to achieve outcomes with a variety of internal and external parties.
  • Excellent influencing and negotiating skills to deliver the right outcomes in a timely manner.
  • Skilled in cost engineering, quantity surveying, planning, risk, estimating, tendering, construction law, contract drafting, administration, and negotiation of contracts and subcontracts.
  • Experience in dealing with large scale construction projects and operating strategically and commercially with different project disciplines.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working directly with internal and external parties.
