We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced midwifery educator to join our team at La Trobe University's La Trobe Rural Health School. As a Lecturer in Midwifery, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality education and training to our students, and contributing to the development of our midwifery programs.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate and deliver midwifery subjects and courses, ensuring that they meet the needs of our students and the accreditation requirements of the relevant professional bodies.
- Develop and implement innovative teaching methods and materials to enhance the learning experience of our students.
- Contribute to the promotion and recruitment of students for our midwifery programs, and provide support to students throughout their studies.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement research projects and initiatives that advance the field of midwifery and nursing.
- Develop and maintain partnerships with industry and community organizations to enhance the relevance and effectiveness of our midwifery programs.
- Demonstrated clinical and industry experience as a practicing midwife and registered nurse, with current registration.
- Clear understanding of the accreditation requirements and skill capabilities of entry-level registered nurses and midwives.
- Ability to use technology to facilitate innovative and engaging presentations of teaching materials and research outcomes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Experience in leading and managing teams, and contributing to the development of research proposals and funding applications.
