Job Description

As a Registered Nurse in the oncology unit, you will play a crucial role in leading and sustaining high standards of clinical practice.

This position involves close collaboration with a dynamic team of healthcare professionals who are dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care.

  • Lead and promote evidence-based nursing practices within your team.
  • Act as a clinical expert and mentor, facilitating professional development among staff.
  • Assess, plan, and evaluate patient care needs.
  • Develop and implement quality initiatives and practice improvements.
  • Educate team members and foster a collaborative learning environment.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should bring a robust clinical background and a passion for oncology nursing.

You will also need:

  • A valid registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  • At least 3 years of experience in oncology nursing.
  • A post-graduate qualification in a relevant field (highly regarded).
  • Experience in team education and training.
  • A clear understanding of legislative requirements governing nursing practice.
  • Knowledge of Quality Improvement processes and their application in a healthcare setting.
