Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Superintendent to lead operations in various locations. The ideal candidate will oversee high-voltage activities, review electrical designs, and ensure compliance with codes and standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage high-voltage projects, ensuring timely completion and budget adherence.
  • Review and provide input on electrical design plans to optimize efficiency and safety.
  • Maintain expertise in electrical and general construction codes, serving as the primary authority on electrical construction.
  • Collaborate with project managers to develop schedules and budgets.
  • Verify that subcontractor work adheres to codes and drawings.
  • Ensure medium-voltage work complies with NEC, NEDA, and UBC standards.
  • Identify conflicts in contract documents and work with project managers to resolve them.
  • Lead and motivate field teams to achieve project and company goals.
  • Plan work sequences to prioritize safety, budget, and schedule adherence.
  • Oversee work execution aspects: labor, materials, delays, mobilization.
  • Participate in pre-construction reviews to assess resource needs.
  • Ensure adherence to schematics, design, and specifications.
  • Provide regular project updates and facilitate inspections.
  • Coordinate project close-out activities.
  • Prepare detailed reports including daily, weekly, safety, and project summaries.
Requirements:
  • 6+ years of electrical experience in utility-scale solar and renewable energy, including medium voltage.
  • Bachelor's degree in construction management or civil engineering.
  • Valid Driver's License with a good driving record.
  • Knowledge of NEC, UBC, local utility requirements, and OSHA regulations.
  • Journeyman Electrician or NABCEP certification.
  • OSHA 30 certification.
  • Ability to prioritize and review work quality.
  • Motivated, adaptable, detail-oriented, and able to work independently and in teams.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong multitasking, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Working Conditions:
  • Exposure to heights, rooftops, weather, confined spaces, fumes, chemicals, and electrical hazards.

Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
