Road Construction Project Manager

Civil Services GROUP is a specialist Civil Project Management and Delivery Company based in Queensland, seeking an experienced Road Construction Project Manager to join our team. This is a unique opportunity for a professional with strong project management skills and experience in the road construction industry.
Job DescriptionThe successful candidate will be responsible for managing and leading projects from a contractor's standpoint, ensuring timely and budget-friendly delivery of road construction projects. Key responsibilities include:
- Budgeting, programming, monitoring expenditure, controlling resources, and reviewing priorities;
- Managing labour, plant, materials, and subcontract within budget and time constraints;
- Undertaking various contract management activities, including client liaison;
- Procuring road making materials and project services within guidelines;
- Implementing PM techniques and systems in accordance with company procedures;
- Submitting reports and providing information to management within timeframes;
- Training and guiding project staff on specifications and construction processes;
- Contributing to the estimating process for bids or offers;
- Maintaining a high standard in traffic management;
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A minimum of 5 years' prior experience in Civil Roads Infrastructure construction with the Department of Transport and Main Roads in Queensland or any Australian State Government Road Authority;
- Strong knowledge of TMR Technical Specifications;
- Experience delivering TIC(SI), MW, and RMPC contracts for TMR or similar clients;
- Working knowledge of SAP, P6, or other similar project management packages;
- Strong written, verbal communication, and computer literacy skills;
- Experience with QMS and effective application on construction projects;
- Well-developed interpersonal and consultative skills;
- A current driver's license;
