Job Title: Medical Equipment Technician

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Medical Equipment Technician to join our team. As a key member of the perioperative department, you will be responsible for preparing and maintaining medical equipment for use in the operating theatre.

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems, be proficient in maintenance and repair procedures, and maintain a sound knowledge of medical equipment and safety protocols.

  • Maintenance and repair of medical equipment
  • Preparation of equipment for use in the operating theatre
  • Ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations
  • Providing support to the perioperative clinical team
About You

To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate:

  • A strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems
  • Basic computer skills
  • A background working in a clinical / health care background
  • Practical interpersonal and communication skills
  • Exposure to medical equipment maintenance in a healthcare environment
  • Certificate III in Mechanical Technology, or the ability to provide evidence of working towards attainment within the first six months
