Job Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Retail Facilities Manager to play a key role in shaping the future of real estate for a better world.

This position reports to the Associate Director of Engineering, Operations & Sustainability SA and is responsible for managing key retail assets and associated plant and equipment across two local Adelaide Sites.

The health, safety, and security of all visitors and occupants are top priorities. The successful candidate will ensure that maintenance, repairs, and minor works are performed with minimal disruptions to tenancies while maintaining contractors to perform planned and reactive maintenance effectively.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring all scheduled maintenance is adhered to with appropriate service reports and compliance certificates supplied by contractors in line with Australian standards and legislative requirements.
  • Advising the Centre/Property Manager/Associate Director of EOS of incidents and events that occur throughout the building or issues that may impact on the tenants.
  • Obtaining quotations for minor repairs/rectification to plant and equipment.

The ideal candidate will inspect exterior entrances, ground floor foyer, and carpark entrances for cleanliness, lighting defects, and any other obvious disorders and hazards, arranging repairs as required.

Aware of your responsibility to respond to after-hours problems, you will be available to attend to any issues that may arise on the building 24 hours/7 days.

An ideal candidate would have experience in the management of hard and soft FM building services, with an emphasis on managing a portfolio of assets and their systems. Knowledge of Building Management Systems along with integrated systems such as HVAC, Fire, Lifts, plumbing, and lighting will be looked upon favourably.

Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills are essential, and a reasonable level of computer literacy, with the ability to expand these skills as necessary, would be beneficial.
