Tech Visionary for Sydney-Based Digital Transformation

A leading tech position has become available in our Sydney office, working 2 days per week from Surry Hills. We are focused on Node/TS/React technologies.

About the Opportunity

Our company is a global HR-tech SAAS business based in Surry Hills with a strong financial backing and an ambitious growth plan for the next 3 years.

We have around 20 people in Sydney and 100,000 active users across 25 key customers (blue and white-collar businesses) across Australia.

The role of a strong technical lead is to own our tech stack, build rapport across the business, set technical direction, and work on future tech strategy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Revamp our front-end using React
  • Cutting code in JS - nodejs, TS, some infra work
  • Software architecture, future roadmap planning with the CEO
  • Working alongside the lead devops engineer and lead QA
  • Supporting the team in Manila where needed
  • Reviewing and thinking about all technical upgrades
  • Completing major in-progress projects and planning new initiatives

This will be a hands-on technical role but over time, your day-to-day could move away from coding to more overseeing the tech direction.

Requirements
  • Strong expertise in Node.js, TypeScript, and React
  • Experience in software architecture and tech strategy
  • Ability to work closely with cross-functional teams
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
