Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Customer Service Officer to join our team at Community Housing Ltd.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact in the lives of vulnerable individuals and families in our community. As a Customer Service Officer, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional customer service to current and prospective clients who may present via phone, email or in person.

You will be responsible for welcoming customers in person at our crisis entry point for our homelessness service, providing administrative support, and contributing to various projects as required. You will also provide support to our welcoming front desk service, working collaboratively with other teams to achieve our mission.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have a genuine passion for supporting vulnerable people in our community. You will possess relevant skills and experience in working effectively and sensitively with diverse customer groups with complex needs.

You should be able to handle a high volume of work, prioritise effectively, and demonstrate confidence in liaising with various stakeholders, including vulnerable individuals. A strong work ethic, willingness to learn, and a caring and empathetic nature are essential for this role.

Requirements

  • Relevant skills and experience in working with diverse customer groups with complex needs.
  • Ability to handle a high volume of work and prioritise effectively.
  • Confidence in liaising with various stakeholders, including vulnerable individuals.
  • Strong work ethic, willingness to learn, and a caring and empathetic nature.
  • Previous experience working on MS Office programs.
  • Ability to compose professional correspondence via email to internal and external stakeholders.
