About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Flight Catering Specialist to join our team located at Darwin Airport.

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for preparing food and beverage carts, plating meals, and maintaining high standards of hygiene and cleanliness in our kitchen, bar make-up, and wash areas.

The role offers a mix of rostered day & afternoon shifts, Monday - Sunday, 365 days per year. Immediate start available.

Main Responsibilities
  • Prepare and present high-quality meals and snacks according to presentation specifications using visual guides.
  • Stock airline carts with dry store items including equipment, packaged snacks, and beverages.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, bar make-up, and wash areas.
  • Comply with food safety and HACCP guidelines and adhere to hygiene standards and cleaning schedules.
  • Communicate and coordinate with team members to ensure delivery timelines are met.
Requirements
  • Sound numerical skills.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time, as well as move and lift items.
  • Ability to work shift work across a 7-day roster.
  • Neat and tidy presentation.
  • Sound knowledge of food hygiene and HACCP (desired but not essential).
  • Basic knife skills (desired but not essential).
  • Able to obtain a clear National Police Check.
