Our organisation is looking for an experienced software professional to join our Operational DER Management team. This role will involve collaborating with other technical subject matter experts to develop appropriate software solutions, focusing on Python programming and test-driven development.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in software development, preferably with experience in the energy industry. They will be responsible for creating control room visualisation interfaces using SQL building blocks and packaging them with Python. Additionally, they will contribute to a work program aimed at improving AEMO tools for managing low demand / high DER periods.

Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in software development and/or the energy industry.
  • Significant experience using Python to build large-scale systems.
  • Quantitative analysis skills, including problem solving, modelling, and critical thinking.
  • Experience working with subject matter experts to scope and define enhancements and new features.
