Job Summary:
A Junior Legal Counsel position is available at our Corporate Head Office in Brisbane, where you will report to the Group Legal Counsel and play a key role in delivering legal support across all brands. The ideal candidate will have prior in-house experience or be looking to pivot from private practice.

About the Role:
This role requires a strong academic record and a passion for learning, with a creative mindset for problem-solving. As an in-house lawyer, you will need to meet the client where they are at, providing clear and practical legal advice on various matters including contract law, IP, consumer protection, and dispute resolution.

The duties and responsibilities of this role include:
  • Drafting and negotiating supplier, contractor, partnership, and marketing agreements.
  • Advising internal teams and representing the business in disputes before tribunals and regulatory bodies.
  • Supporting leasing, subleasing, and licensing matters.
  • Helping manage compliance obligations, including Modern Slavery Statements and regulatory alerts.
  • Delivering clear and practical legal advice to leadership and stakeholders on various matters.
