Lead Research Expert

This role involves leading the development of evidence-informed resources to drive inclusive employment practices.

About the Position

The successful candidate will lead key outcomes related to identifying and synthesising disability employment-related evidence. This includes designing and commissioning research in disability employment to fill knowledge gaps.

To achieve these goals, you will collaborate with colleagues to evaluate the impact of evidence strategies and continuously improve their design. You will also contribute to broader centre activities such as preparing reports, providing presentations to stakeholders, mentoring, and supporting staff.

You will participate in activities that foster further links with government, business, communities, and professions in Australia and internationally.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading research projects independently and within a team environment.
  • Undertaking reviews of evidence and preparation of high-quality written materials for various audiences.
  • Working collaboratively with internal and external colleagues.
  • Providing leadership in complex operating environments.
  • Applying technical expertise to real-world challenges in disability and disability employment.
  • Securing competitive research grants.
