Job Description

As a Staff Specialist in Gastroenterology and Hepatology, you will provide expert clinical care to patients with liver diseases, including primary liver cancer and advanced liver disease. You will also take a strategic lead in planning and directing research programs related to Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Liver Transplantation.

You will work closely with the multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality patient care, participate in educational activities, and contribute to the development of clinical guidelines and policies. Additionally, you will be responsible for mentoring junior medical staff and contributing to the academic environment of the hospital.


Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
  • Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) in Gastroenterology and Hepatology or equivalent specialist recognition
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
